GREEN BAY, Wis.
A jury from the Eau Claire area will hear
the trial of a woman accused of causing a Brown County car crash
that killed two teens last June.
Anrietta "Monique" Geske of De Pere faces seven felony
charges, including two counts of homicide by intoxicated use of a
motor vehicle.
Prosecutors say Geske was driving a Porsche and racing another
car before she went through a red light and hit the teens' car.
Killed in the accident were Talhia Heroux (HEER'-oh) of Brussels
and her friend Ashley Britsch-Knetzger (NETZ-ger) of Allouez
(AL'-ah-way), both 18.
The trial is scheduled March 16. The judge said Thursday that
the jury will be from Eau Claire County because of pretrial
publicity in the Green Bay area.
