Updated 5 months agoA Cabot teen was killed Tuesday afternoon in a head-on accident on Interstate 540 near the Bobby Hopper Tunnel.
19-year-old
Bradley D. Norris was southbound on Interstate 540 when he was struck
by another vehicle traveling north in the southbound lanes. Norris was
pronounced dead at the scene.
The other driver, 47-year-old Richard A. Meinke, also of Cabot, was injured and taken by helicopter to a Fayetteville hospital.
State Police did not know yet why Meinke was driving in the wrong lane. Troopers say both men were wearing seat belts.
